Terms and Conditions

By checking the box next to the declaration "I have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions" on the Member Registration form, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Member Registration
You are eligible to become a member of the Quit WA website by completing the section marked with the symbol * on the Member Registration form. You may also wish, but are not required, to complete the remaining sections of the Member Registration form. You can elect to be kept informed of any new Quit WA initiatives or interesting quitting related material by checking the relevant box on the Member Registration form.

Email Support (eQuitWA)
If you are a member of the Quit WA website, you have the opportunity to receive regular emails from eQuitWA if you select a quit date in the Member Registration form.
If at any time you do not wish to receive emails from eQuitWA, you can unsubscribe by clicking on the 'Unsubscribe' link. The option to unsubscribe is also available on every email.

Your Feedback
Any information you provide by way of feedback in response to emails from eQuitWA may be displayed on the Quit WA website or in other Quit Campaign material if you have indicated your consent at the time of providing such feedback. The only personal information that may be displayed on the Quit WA website or in other Quit Campaign material will be your first name and suburb.

By checking the relevant box on the feedback form in the emails from eQuitWA, you are giving permission for the information you have provided, and your first name and suburb, to be displayed on the Quit WA website or in other Quit Campaign material.

Updating your Information
You can update your quit date and email address entered on the Member Registration form at any time by visiting the Quit WA website and clicking on the 'Amend Details' link once you are logged in.

Copyright and Use of material on Quit WA website
The material contained on the Quit WA website, including Internet pages, documents and online graphics, audio and video, and material contained in emails from eQuitWA, is prepared by the Department of Health for and on behalf of the Crown in right of the State of Western Australia and is protected by copyright law.
Apart from any fair dealing for the purposes of private study, research, criticism or review, as permitted under the provisions of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), no part may be reproduced, distributed, re-transmitted, uploaded and/or reposted to any other site on the World Wide Web, or framed with other material on any other site on the World Wide Web for any commercial purposes whatsoever without written permission of the State of Western Australia.

Licence to the State of Western Australia

By uploading any material which is intellectual property including, but not limited to copyrighted work, trade marks and service marks on to the Quit WA website, you are granting the State of Western Australia a perpetual, world-wide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free and licence fee-free licence to:

  1. reproduce, use, modify and exploit the intellectual property, as part of the Quit WA website, to the full extent permitted by intellectual property law in any jurisdiction in which the Quit WA website is available to users; and
  2. allow the State of Western Australia to sub-licence others the same rights granted to the State of Western Australia in (a) above.

The State of Western Australia and its respective members, officers, employees and agents take no responsibility for the accuracy, currency, reliability and correctness of any information contained in external internet sites that are linked to Quit WA's website.
