Quit WA and the Department of Health are committed to protecting the privacy of all persons using the Quit WA website.

Quit WA typically communicates with its clients by email if the client requests to be contacted via the 'Contact Us' page. Quit WA will only record personal information if you send us a message through the 'Contact Us' page.

If you choose to use the 'Send an E-card' facility on the Quit WA website to send an E-card, your name and email address may be disclosed to the recipient of the E-card. Any personal information provided will be used by Quit WA only for the purposes of that facility and will not be used by Quit WA for any other purpose without your consent. Further, such personal information will not be stored permanently by Quit WA.

For users who are not members of the Quit WA website

Quit WA may collect deidentified information about your visit to our site, but personal information relating to users of the site (save for personal information provided in the circumstances outlined in the preceding paragraphs) will not be collected.

For users who are members of the Quit WA website

When registering as a member of the Quit WA website, you are requested to enter personal information on the Member Registration Form.

Quit WA may use this personal information only for the purpose of:
'sending you emails from Quit WA ("eQuitWA") on completion of the Member Registration form; and sending you information of new Quit WA initiatives or interesting quitting related material if you elect to receive such information.

Further, any information you provide by way of feedback in response to emails from eQuitWA may be displayed on the Quit WA website or in other Quit Campaign material if you have indicated your consent at the time of providing such feedback. The only personal information that may be displayed on the Quit WA website or in other Quit Campaign material will be your first name and suburb.

Quit WA will otherwise not use your personal information for any other purpose without your consent and will otherwise not disclose your personal information to any third party. Quit WA has put in place appropriate and typical physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online in an effort to prevent unauthorised access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information.
